Sardinien
Sardinien ist Italiens geologisch älteste Region mit jahrtausendealter Weinkultur, geprägt von Phöniziern, Römern und Spaniern. Wichtige Rebsorten sind Cannonau, Monica, Giró, Nuragus und Vermentino. Rund zwei Drittel der ca. 40.000 ha Rebfläche entfallen auf Rotwein. Sardische Weine genießen heute internationale Anerkennung, teils mit stark gestiegenen Preisen.
